Windows Server 2008 R2 Volume License Iso
Hi All, Just want to ask for the official Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard ISO and if possible with updated patches to be used for company's production environment. I don't know if the Windows server 2008 R2 evaluation copy could be activated with our license bought from microsoft which will be used in our production. Please enlighten me with this one. Also, the license key that we've bought was Windows server 2012 Datacenter Edition which includes Win2008 R2 licenses. Can we request for a physical media (probably DVD) to microsoft Philippines or from our reseller with this one and what could be the process?

When you purchase via your reseller, the reseller will provide the disc, with the server hardware (if you are purchasing with a server). Or, if you are purchasing just the OS, your reseller can also sell you the disc. Or, if you have established a Volume Licensing agreement via your reseller, you will be given access to the MS web VLSC portal, where you can download the ISO. MS don't release patched ISO's - they only release original, and MS usually re-release when a ServicePack is produced. To use the downgrade rights, you will need the WS2008R2 product key and the installation media (disc or ISO). You can purchase the media from your reseller. You can contact MS product activation center by telephone, and explain your scenario, they will provide you with a one-time-use product key for your downgrade right.

Product media and download availability coincide with products appearing on the September pricelist; however eligible customers may download this product earlier from VLSC:.
