My mother (who was a piano teacher ) used to say to me,'well hes a great technician,but its not that musical.oscar is/was the modern day virtusuo of the instrument,second to art tatum,sometimes just a little too complicated, but for the rest of us,i would have preferred to print off a bill evans arrangement,it would have been more straight forward,nicer harmonies. But its good.

I would strongly recommend returning to Monks original while listening to Petersons version. One would learn the most that way. Just listening to Oscar is like contemplating Mt Everest without actually going there.
